Sustainable farming practices play a significant role to protect the environment, expand the Earth's natural resource base, maintain and improve soil fertility. On the other hand increasing profitable farm income and enhancing environmental stewardship. Notwithstanding the fact that Malawi`s highest population depends on rainfed farming but this has never been easier. The Government of Malawi has estimated that 29 metric tons of topsoil per hectare is lost each year due to environmental footprint and unsustainable farming practices resulting in food insecurity, curtailing the national economy and exacerbating poverty.
